Leopold Stickley, brother of Gustav was the founder and guiding force of the L. & J.G. Stickley Company. He started his career as foreman of Gustav's furniture factory, and was known to be an elite cabinetmaker and businessman.
His adaptation to different styles allowed L. & J.G. Stickley to thrive despite changes in public taste.
His brother John George, would joiund him to form the L & J.G. Furniture.
In 1918, they bought out Gustav's company and in 1974 the business was sold to the Audi family, who continue to reproduce many original designs.
